MeCard General Terms and Conditions

Definition Art. 1

MeCard is a brand owned by Claude Dreifuss et Cie SA, through which a membership network was created for everyone to benefit from discounts and advantages in all sectors and throughout Switzerland.

Headquarters, address Art. 2

Claude Dreifuss et Cie SA is headquartered in Chiasso 6830 – Ticino, at Piazza Boffalora 4.

Purpose Art. 3

The MeCard membership network offers exclusive products and services not currently on the market in the form of discounts and benefits on goods and services.

Membership, Type of membership and costs Art. 4

The following types of Membership are provided: – MeCard basic card CHF 49.

Member discounts and benefits Art. 5

  • Access to all discounts and conventions underwritten by MeCard and featured on the site in the public area

  • Access to optional discounts with in-app purchases for special discounts

Payment arrangements Art. 6
MeCard membership is payable by the following payment methods:

  • QR Invoice

  • Direct bank transfer

  • Paypal

  • Credit card (Visa,Mastercard®,American Express)

  • Twint

  • Apple Pay

    Delay of a payment for a new card or renewal beyond 7 days, generates a reminder of CHF 30, and a further delay of another 7 days, generates a reminder of CHF 50, a delay beyond 30 days leads to the enforcement of the total amount, burdened with enforcement costs.

Duration and termination Membership Art. 7

The MeCard Membership has the subscribed term without automatic renewal upon expiration.

Upon expiration, the member will receive an email to renew , but will be free not to subscribe.

All Memberships are active from the time the member receives his or her card at the designated address.

Memberships subscribed from the 1st to the 14th of the month will have their expiration date unified with the end of the month preceding the order, those subscribed from the 15th until the end of the month will have their expiration date unified with the end of the current month at the time of the order.
E.g. An annual card signed on 06.10.2031 will expire on 30.09.2032, a three-year card signed on 18.10.2031 on the other hand will expire on 31.10.2034

In the case of termination, when wanting to sign up for a membership card in the future, the member will have to pay an administrative fee of CHF 100 to reactivate the membership.

Cards from any partners (e.g. MIGROL cards, ENI, etc…) should be returned and cannot be maintained if you are no longer a MeCard member; use and maintenance after the MeCard membership expiration date will be illegal.

Revocation Art. 8

Revocation of Membership is provided in the case of inappropriate use of the card, such as transferring the card to persons other than the cardholder, for the purchase of goods or services subject to discounts, or the purchase of goods not for personal use but for resale, where expressly prohibited.

Applicable law Art. 9

All relations of the member with MeCard are subject to Swiss law. The place of performance, enforcement and bankruptcy jurisdiction for holders domiciled abroad and likewise exclusive jurisdiction for all proceedings are established, subject to mandatory provisions of Swiss law, in Lugano – TI. However, MeCard reserves the right to bring actions before the courts of the holder’s place of domicile or before any other competent court.

Changes Art.10

Personal Data
Personal data, i.e., all information relating to an identified or identifiable person (natural or legal), such as first name, last name, appellation, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and the like, necessary for the processing of the order and its renewals, must always be up-to-date; any changes must be notified to MeCard by an email sent to info@mecard.ch

MeCard may, in its sole discretion, discontinue or modify the provision of part or all of the Services/Benefits at any time upon modification at http://www.mecard.ch of the active or non-active agreements. Communications directed to the individual concerned are understood to be made by sending email to the address given in the registration form, or to the different address provided in writing by the member.

Theft, loss, destruction of membership card Art.11

If your MeCard membership card is lost, stolen or destroyed, you can request a certified copy by sending an email to info@mecard.ch.
The copy will be produced and shipped via the postal service in about 14 working days dientro payment of reprinting and postage costs (CHF 10.-) payable online by VISA, Mastercard®, American Express, TWINT, Apple Pay methods or by bank transfer.
An electronic copy for immediate uses will also be sent immediately upon receipt of the request by email.
